gershenson Celia Wolk Gershenson
Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology

     Celia's research interests focus on learning, memory, and attention in older adults. Current research activities include the use of a number of computerized tasks to investigate the variables that affect the acquisition of new learning, short term memory, the establishment of conceptual relationships, and attention in normal older adults and those with dementia. Also, she is a Co-investigator with Dr. Herbert Pick in studies of spatial orientation and navigation as related to driving in older adults.

     Dr. Gershenson is also the co-director of the
Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) program.
