- The reason is the story's artifical intelligence computer, HAL who have shown at this very early age what should such a 'thing', act, think and be like. And in general, Artur C. Clarke's seeing so clearly at this area of science.
- This is a creative nomination. Every popular account of computer-as-human mentions Hal. But it's the movie that had the impact, not the book, right?
