The Place of Value in a World of Facts
Koehler, W. (1938)
New York: Liveright Publishing Corporation.

Nominator's statement

Koehler creates the beginning of a system that connects values to cognition, by building on the foundations of Gestalt psychology; namely that good continuation and prediction of future events is a cognitive function that leads to expectations, and the confirmation or denial of these expectations has a positive or negative value.
