comments
- While no psychoanalytic admirer, nor of dream interpretation, i.e., meaning of dreams, I think certain aspects Freud's Interpretation of Dreams, particulary Chapter Six on Dream Work, with its analysis of reversals, negations, and other linguistic operations should be considered a masterful---albeit early---explication of cognitive operations.
- This work and other works by Freud have influenced not only cognitive psychology, but also the entire field of Psychology and the whole conception of the mind by scholars in many other areas.
- Freud has been shunned by the general public. We as scientists should be able to appreciate his work. This guy was ahead of his time.
