Nominator's statement

I submit this as an alternative for the nominated "Consciousness Explained", on the ground that it has been much more influential and is less controversial. Many critics summarize their objection by renaming the nominated work Consciousness Neglected or Consciousness Fictionalized (I think the latter is most apt); but we may all ultimately be proved wrong.
